Angela Allen Art + Heart = Health Angela Allen has been a professional in the fields of health, art and education since 1991 when she received her Masters Degree in Alternative Education. While teaching full time in the classroom, she obtained her three year accreditation in Waldorf Remedial Lessons, which work with physical movements, music and color to achieve stronger confidence in one's academic skills. More recently, Angela acquired her Masters level in Usui Reiki, a gentle release for blocks in the body. During the same period of study in Toronto, Canada, Angela earned her two year certificate in art and biography counseling. With the use of multi-media art tools, each client becomes aware of heightened emotions that trigger contraction and then release. Biography is similar, using art to perceive challenges, but adding our personal life journey to comprehend the connection and purpose while treading bravely toward a responsible future. Angela is prepared to serve individual or group requirements, working with various ages. She offers appointments at either her Richland Center office or at Hwy H, Hillsboro. Deborah Wunnicke Deborah is a nationally certified and state licensed Massage Therapist/Bodywork Therapist, providing Therapeutic Massage/Bodywork since 1992. She specializes in techniques to reduce stress and promote wellbeing using therapeutic massage, acupressure and energy work. She is also a certified Yoga Instructor. In addition, Deborah has a MSSW degree in clinical social work and offers her clients body-centered counseling or ‘process’ bodywork. The client determines which specific treatment most comfortably addresses his/her needs. In body-centered counseling, a variety of techniques are used to assess and treat identified problems. In addition to traditional counseling, these techniques might include body awareness training, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques, such as meditation and yoga. In process bodywork, physical touch is used in the form of acupressure and/or massage. The client is encouraged to share or ‘process’ with the therapist whatever feelings surface. The client dictates the pace and the process based on their comfort level, which might well include blissful quiet. All sessions focus on the Clients’ needs in a safe, private and supportive environment. Integrative Therapy can be especially helpful for people who have been dissociated from their feelings. Those in recovery from substance abuse, physical or sexual abuse or emotional trauma can use Integrative Therapy to work through difficult feelings that words alone may not address. It is also useful for those who live primarily in their heads and tend to ignore their bodies. WI Licensed massage Therapist #832-146 608-585-2015 dwunnicke@countryspeed.com |
